Acer XV HT Iron Head

  • The Acer XV is out latest generation of game-improvement irons with three distance clubs for any skill level with one unified appearance.
  • XV High Trajectory: The HT (High Trajectory) has nearly a 30% wider sole and shallower face than our standard Acer XV model to get up in the air quickly from virtually any lie with maximum forgiveness. HT version is favored by beginners, slower swingers and golfers who tend to sweep the ball off of the ground.
  • XV Standard: The standard XV is designed to fit the broadest range of golfers and instill confidence into their game. Features ample offset to help the player square up the face at impact and the enhanced heel-toe weighting enables players to hit both straighter and more solid shots.
  • XV Pro: The XV Pro features the same cutting edge design as the standard, but with a more compact design and reduced offset favored by better players. The XV Pro model also has a slightly narrower sole and thinner topline.
  • Constructed of 431 stainless steel; bendable.
  • For Lie Alteration please allow 2 - 3 business days.

Customer is happy with finished iron set

Advantages: Solid cavity back design with low center of gravity. Obvious why ball gets airborne. Good looking club head.

Disadvantages: A bit clunky looking but projects confidence at address.

The head came off my nine iron so I decided to see if I could replace it with a new one. I chose the Acer XV HT iron head primarily because the price was right. I installed the head myself (fairly simple to do) and started using it within days. This head has definitely improved my consistency with the iron. Well worth the time and money spent.

I shafted the 4 and 5 irons with FST 90 steel shafts A flex. About 10 yards longer than my old clubs and higher trajectory, which is what I wanted. This is a great option for senior golfers.

Advantages: Excellent on par 3s off a tee or from a good lie in the fairway. I have distance control problems with higher lofted woods and have never liked the appearance of hybrids so these HT heads fill a necessary gap for me. (I wish a 3 iron was available.)

Disadvantages: 1.) I have not had much success with these from slightly heavy lies, maybe due to the wide sole, still working on figuring it out. 2.) Lack of inventory availability, even worse than buying TP in 2020. I hope Monark can re-stock soon.
