the shaft is coming in raw length, not pre-cut. For R flex you will need to trim the shaft from butt end to desired club length. The kit comes with one strip of grip tape to install grip on shaft. you can use mineral spirit such as paint thinner (do not use acetone)

for A/L combo flex shaft: Lady 0" tip trim, install shaft, then butt trim to length. Senior flex: 1" tip trim, install shaft, then butt trim to length. you will find free videos about club building at YouTube.com
