it is club length, not shaft length. for a 12 year old boy suggested driver length is 37". It is suggested to make the club length 1 inch longer as the teenager is growing fast. boys may be taller or shorter for their age. it is more precise to fit a boy by his actual body height, not age. 37" driver length is for 54" tall body. 39" driver length for 57" body and 41" driver length for 60" body.
