Matrix Ozik MFS X5 55 White Tie Graphite Wood Shafts

  • Brand new and original Matrix graphite shafts.
  • The new Matrix MFS X5 were released in 2017 and are the newest version of the White Tie shafts. A lightweight shaft revised to improve stability while maintaining higher launch performance. It has a  stiffness profile designed for enhanced feel, tight dispersion and higher launch with lower spin.
  • The new MFS X5 shafts follow the latest trend of driver head designs. New driver heads are a bit heavier to help golfers add more distance to their drivers - both through their added mass and adjustability features. The new MFS X5 shafts were designed with the latest driver heads in mind.
  • The new MFS X5 models use a higher center of gravity (CG), or balance point, which allows golfers to take advantage of the latest club head technologies.
  • Matrix is using a new tooling or new mandrels to manufacture the new MFS X5 shafts.
  • The new X5 White Tie provides tour-level stability and promotes a higher trajectory than the Black Tie or Red Tie. It is designed to help golfers launch the ball higher, which often leads to big distance gains for golfers in fitting bays.
  • The MFS X5 was available exclusively through Matrix's certified custom club fitters. MRSP was set at $375.00
  • CFI Technology: Circumferential Flexural Integrity is an innovative layup method devised to insure a shaft's flexing properties are consistent around the 360º circumference. It is imperative to keep these values as close together as possible during manufacturing to ensure consistent dynamic response and output performance of the shaft. A shaft must have the same flex characteristics around it's circumference before it can be truly matched to another shaft. Matrix also manufactures a testing apparatus called The Universal. This was designed to provide technically advanced club builders and OEMs an opportunity to test any shaft on the market.
  • High Launch and Mid Spin design.
  • Please note: Firm flex shaft is silk printed as "55-R"
  • Bend Point: Low
  • Ball Flight: High
  • Tip Trimming: Driver 0"; #3W 1"; #5W 2"; #7W 2"; #9W 2"; #11W 2"
