build my own iron set years ago...easy to hit and had great feel at contact...I modified them for the one length theory...wish I had not done that...great clubs

Advantages: good look at address and easy to hit

Disadvantages: cost...

These irons are amazing. The carbon steel feels phenomenal, the chrome is excellent, and the shiny millwork on the back of the head truly can't be appreciated until you see it in person. I know they look somewhat outlandish, but they really are nice-looking and, despite my apprehension, they look fantastic at address. You simply can't argue the physics here: it may not be a spring-face, but even Maltby's Playability Factor would tell you how low the COG is on these and therefore how easily playable they are. Turf interaction is good. The offset is not as off-putting as I've seen in other forgiveness-minded irons: these don't make you feel like you "have to" play for a draw. Truth be told, they just go straight unless I want to shape them, so they square up really well. I built these out from 5-iron up through 2-iron to fill out the bag between the fairway metal and the blades I carry from 6-iron down. Really, really nice. This design still holds water many years after their original release. Go for it and buy them with confidence. Nice job, Bang.

Advantages: Soft Feel, Adjustability, Great Unique Looks, Easy To Hit

Like the bang-o-matic center cut irons. Thin topline is hard to find now. A couple of yards shorter than my previous irons (? more loft) but more accurate.

Advantages: Some where in between tour blades and game improvement irons, Just about right.

I made a club on a True Temper s300 shaft. The feel is good and the ball floats well. I think this is a club that can be easily handled by beginners to intermediate players.
