Description

iDrive Tour Hybrid Graphite Shafts

  • The iDrive hybrid shaft is 42" long and features a mid bend point and low torque tip specially designed for today's popular hybrid clubs.
  • Unlike conventional graphite shafts i-Drive graphite shafts are filament wound, not table rolled.
  • High modulus material is filament wound around a special forming mandrel. The result is virtually no spine for increased consistency, improved uniformity and more consistent recovery rate at moment of impact. If all the talk about spine aligning and shaft pureing made you confused, don't look further.
  • Guaranteed 100% high modulus, high strength graphite.
  • Popular shafts are mid low flex point and low to mid torque for all level golfers.
  • Hybrid shafts carry "Tour Hybrid" logo on shaft for all flexes.
  • Bend Point: Mid
  • Ball Flight: Mid
  • Tip Trimming: Apply hybrid club length to an equivalent iron number, e.g. 39" hybrid club length equivalent to #3 iron men's std. length.
    • Iron L-Flex: #3I 0"; #4 0.25"; #5 0.5"; #6 0.75"; #7 1"; #8 1.25"; #9 1.5"; Wedge 1.75"
    • Iron A-Flex: #3I 1"; #4 1.25"; #5 1.5"; #6 1.75"; #7 2"; #8 2.25"; #9 2.5"; Wedge 2.75"
    • Iron R-Flex: #3I 0"; #4 0.25"; #5 0.5"; #6 0.75"; #7 1"; #8 1.25"; #9 1.5";  Wedge 1.75"
    • Iron S-Flex:  #3I 1"; #4 1.25"; #5 1.5"; #6 1.75"; #7 2"; #8 2.25"; #9 2.5"; Wedge 2.75"

I bought this shaft for a hybrid. Others I have made had a low bend point but I ended up hitting the higher lofted hybrids too high. This shaft fixed the problem

I used these shafts for a low cost alternative for a demo club paired with a Heater 4.0 white Hybrid head #3, also purchased from this site. When I played the combo I was pleasantly surprised at how well the shaft played and the feel. Not to stiff and not mushy feeling and great ball flight. I have since added this combo to my bag and built the #2, and #4 with the same heads and love them. I laugh at the low cost of the clubs overall and that I out hit any other hybrid I have played. I have since used this shaft in a fitting for a customer, which I have put in several hybrid demo clubs and he liked the shaft with an Acer XDS hybrid in #3 and #4. Still can't believe that this shaft plays this well for the low cost. It just works. Very happy customer!

Advantages: great boring ball flight, ball does not balloon, great feel, and price also.

Disadvantages: None

Built 3, 4, 5, iDrive head hybrids for my vacation set of clubs that stay out of state. Took them out here at home and now they reside here in my bag! Great feel, flex and feedback, mid-flight which is fine with me. I have hybrids with more expensive shafts and the iDrive Hybrid shafts have them beat! Now I have to build 2 more clubs (3-4) for my vacation bag!

Advantages: Price, feel

Disadvantages: None

very good shaft I used them for several irons friends say they can feel when they hit off center or on the heel or toe ,where they didn't have that feel with more expensive shafts . For the price line they have good distance not as high a flight as some others just a good boring level arch to the ball flight. Not too high and not too low. I have a friend that hits the ball pretty high and these shafts brought the ball flight down some he loves the way they feel also.

Advantages: good weight good ball flight and lower price good feel.

Disadvantages: none so far
