Description

Counter Weight Insert for Graphite Shafts

  • The overall balance of a golf club is very important to achieve the optimal results by producing more solidness of contact, consistency, speed and greater distance. A club that is overall too head heavy is difficult to return the club to a square position. In addition, it may encourage a player to release the club too early in the downswing and rob a player of valuable distance. Counter-balance plugs can help solve these problems by shifting the balance point of the club closer to the hands. Think of it the same way as a figure skater pulls their arm in toward their body making them spin faster. The counter-balance plugs essentially have the same benefit and great for over-length clubs.
  • Install Insert into the butt end of the shaft prior to installing the grip.
  • Vent Hole for easy grip installation. Counterweight made from brass.
  • Please make sure to measure the inside diameter of the shaft you are trying to counterweight.
  • GSCW for Graphite Shafts: Stem diameter 12.55 = 0.492". Lip end diameter 14 mm = 0.55"
  • SSCW for Steel Shafts: Stem diameter 13 = 0.512". Lip end diameter 14.5 mm = 0.57"
  • Swingt weight reduction of Graphite shaft counterweights: 4 gram 1 point, 8 gram 2 points. 12 gram 3 points, 16 gram 4 points
