Description

Bang Golf Classic I TourTools Iron Heads

  • The Bang Golf Tour Tools Classic I is an exact replica of the 1978 Wilson Staff FG17 blade iron. Form forged in 304 stainless steel for exceptional feel and adjustability. One of the cleanest blades ever produced. Available #1 thru SW.
  • Precision cast from soft 304 stainless steel rivaling the nice soft, solid feel of a forged iron without the forged price. The soft stainless steel also allows for more bending options than conventional steel.
  • Form-forged or semi forged: the raw cast iron heads are afterwards stamped for additonal precision and better control of grain consistency in the steel. Grain consistency provides for more uniform vibration and feel acress the head.
  • The non-offset hosel, thin sole and low profiled face are designed for golfers seeking maximum shot control and increased ability to work the ball.
  • Loft, Lie, Face Angle +/- 1°; Weight +/- 3 gm tolerance.

I bought the 7-iron recently and built it to match a few other models from various manufacturers for a true head-to-head test. Astonishingly this blade beat out the rest in performance, namely in trajectory, distance and feel. I am absolutely surprised given what an old design this is and that it is a true muscle back. I cannot say enough about the cell and control these irons impart. I can't wait to get the rest to complete my set.

Bang Golf, you did a terrific job. Monark Golf, you've given fantastic customer service. Thank you.

Advantages: Beautiful chrome-y curves
Easily adjusted/bent
Incredibly soft feel
Great trajectory

Disadvantages: Can't think of anything negative about these at all.
