About Project-X Golf Shafts:
Project X was designed on the PGA Tour to help professional golfers improve distance and accuracy. Today, Project X is played by the world’s best golfers and can be found in play every week of the Tour. Project X shafts incorporate Stepless Design Technology where each individual shaft throughout the set is comprised of a specific taper length. This unique design feature optimizes the flex distribution and energy transfer without sacrificing control. Stepless Design technology provides tip stiffness for stronger players, producing greater accuracy with a smooth yet solid feel at impact and optimum trajectory and spin control.
Project-X Technology:
Textreme: The new Project X Black incorporates a revolutionary composite material called TeXtreme® that allowed our engineers to eliminate weight compared to the original design while maintaining the low torque, low spin properties that established Project X as the standard for all high-performance composite shafts.
Dual Torsional Control utilizes TeXtreme® fibers oriented at 45-degrees on the outermost layers of the shaft and Super High Modulus axial plies inside to reduce dynamic shaft twisting by as much as 25% compared to traditional designs. As a result, Project X black features unmatched torsional integrity and is the most stable lightweight composite shaft ever created.
Zonal Design Theory: Project X driver and hybrid shafts are engineered using True Temper’s proprietary Zonal Design Theory (ZDT) which divides the shaft into three zones—butt, mid and tip sections. Each zone is optimized for performance using a specific design technology.
Variable Stepless Design Technology: Project X shafts incorporate Stepless Design Technology where each individual shaft throughout the set is comprised of a specific taper length. This unique design feature optimizes the flex distribution and energy transfer without sacrificing control. Stepless Design technology provides tip stiffness for stronger players, producing greater accuracy with a smooth yet solid feel at impact and optimum trajectory and spin control.
Frequency Matching is a highly technical method of precisely measuring and defining the flex of the golf shaft through electronic calibration. Refined to perfection during the past 20 years, this patented process remains the only accurate method of producing a perfectly matched set of golf clubs today. The ascending linear profile of Frequency Matched shafts depicts a consistent flex throughout the set and is in stark contrast to the inconsistent flex of clubs that have not been Frequency Matched.

Project-X Blue Graphite Shaft:
Project X Blue is the premier graphite shaft in the game today with numerous wins on the global tours, including wins at the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Open Championship. Featuring superior cross-sectional stability and a revolutionary spin-reducing tip, this next generation of Project X delivers longer carry, increased rollout and laser-guided trajectory. The Project X driver shaft has a similar bend profile to Project X iron shafts. The driver shaft’s firm tip design yields a penetrating launch and low spin while its low torque and reinforced cross section provide the most stable shaft performance on tour.
New 2014 Project-X PXv Tour 52:
The PXv Tour 52 is the next generation in the storied Project X franchise. By incorporating the most advanced materials available in the industry today, Project X engineers have designed a shaft that produces maximum ball speed, while preserving critical stability and control through the hitting zone. PXv Tour 52 delivers a low-mid launch angle with low spin, preferred by today's top professionals and low handicap amateurs.
Project-X Flighted 95 and Project-X Steel:
The new Project X Flighted 95 is the lightest steel shaft in the Project X Family. The mid-flight design of this new shaft delivers the tour-caliber control expected of the Project X brand with maximum distance. Project X engineers have incorporated descending weight properties into Project X 95 for enhanced feel in the mid to short irons.
A proven winner on the PGA Tour, the patented RIFLE design features a discrete constant taper for each shaft in the set. Longer taper rates result in more energy transfer to the ball, getting the ball up faster and flattening out quicker for a penetrating trajectory and ball flight.
